Jacko Bounces Back

Posted by Liam Redden at Aug 30, 2011

Congratulations to Jacko Barry on winning round 3 of the Players Championship in Murrays. He came from 3-1 down to defeat Damien Geraghty 4-3 in a high quality final. This was Damien’s second final in a row but is still awaiting his first win after losing to Mick Barry last time out in Colmcilles. In the Semi-finals, Jacko gained revenge for his loss in round ones decider by defeating his brother Mick while Kaz was downed by Damian. The highest checkout now stands at 150 courtesy of Butzy Wades magnificent finish.

After 3 qualifiers, Mick Barry remains top of the standings with 26 points. This week’s finalists, Jacko and Damian, are in 2nd and 3rd respectively with Butzy Wade in 4th. It’s all very tight below the top 4. With 2 rounds of qualifiers left, every point could prove crucial in making it to the final 16.
