The Rush Town Dart League was founded in 19??. During that time, many great players have graced the oche. The first ever winner of the singles was ‘The Legend’ Tommy Walsh.

Without doubt, the leagues most successful player is Eugene “Dudger” Byrne. Dudger has won the singles a record 13 times. An amazing 10 times more than the next best (Mick Barry with 3). He is the only player to complete a magic 9 darter, in The Strand Bar in Oct 1995, against the late ‘Mon’ Andrews. He has also won the doubles on 2 occasions, the 3asides 3 times and numerous league and cup victories.

The league has also been represented on the world stage. Mick McGowan and Jacko Barry can often be seen competing at the major PDC tournaments on Sky Sports.
