League Playoffs This Sat

After 12 rounds of fixtures, it has been whittled down to the final 8 teams who will compete for the league title. Walshes, Gibneys, Murrays and the Cricket B emerged from Group A, while the White Hart Lounge, the Strand, Gladstone and the Mill Race came out of Group B.
In the quarter finals, the teams from Group A will be drawn against teams from Group B. After that, it will be an open draw. Games will begin at 3pm SHARP. There is a lot of darts to get through so please be there on time.
The first round of the Mon Andrews Cup will take place on Friday 23rd March. It will be played down to the last 8, which will then be played in the Cricket Club on Friday 13th April.
The singles will be held in Murrays on Friday 18th May. No date has yet been decided for the doubles and 3 a sides.

Happy New Year!!! The darts action will resume after the Christmas break this Friday 6th January.

Darts Competition and Social Evening

The R.T.D.L. and Friends of David ‘Bellies’ Harper are holding a darts competition and social evening in the White Hart in Balbriggan on Saturday 19th November.
The darts will start at 2pm and entry is €10 per player. Once the darts has finished, the real fun will begin with live music by ??? Tickets for the band are €5. Anyone who took part in the darts has free entry to the music afterwards. There will also be a raffle on the day with many great prizes. Everyone is welcome so hopefully we’ll see you there for a great day of craic agus ceoil!!!!

New Season

Its that time of year again. The evenings are getting darker, the clocks will be going back soon. It all denotes that the season is about the start back up. Friday 28th October will see the first fixtures of the new season. Due to last years lengthy season, it was decided to divide the league into 2 sections of 7 teams, group 1 and group 2. Six teams were seeded and divided between the 2 groups while the remaining 8 were also split equally.

Each team will play the other teams in their group twice, home and away. The top 4 teams from each group will advance to the knock out stages where the eventual winner will be determined.

Round 4 Gibneys

Congratulations to Neal Barry on winning round 4 of the Players Championship in Gibneys of Gormanston. The current R.T.D.L. singles champion defeated a back to form, Anto Caldwell, 4-2 in the final. The beaten semi finalists were Dudger Byrne and Joe Kelly. The highest checkout still stands at 150 courtesy of Butsy Wades finish in round 3.

With just 1 qualifer left, its all still to fight for. Although Neal picked up the 10 points for his win, he will be unable to qualify for the Grand Finals as he did not take part in the required 3 qualifing events.
The final round will take place on Friday 23rd in Rush Cricket Club. Entry as usual is €10, no names taken after 8.45pm and the first games will go to board at 9pm sharp.
